Fun Times with Your Baby

You know when your baby is first born you hold them and look at them and are just in “aw” of them. That doesn’t change as they grow older. I still find myself just staring at my son being in “aw” of him at six months old. As they begin to grow, as a mom, you notice the slightest change. It’s amazing to watch them and just wonder what are they thinking. They look so intently at objects, absorbing all information possible, and their eyes tell a story.

As your baby grows he/she will begin to engage in playing with toys, and looking at other people when they talk, really interacting with you and other people. They begin to develop a personality of their own. Watching them discover parts of their body like their fingers, toes, nose, and ears is quite funny. My son puts his toes in his mouth and it’s the cutest thing. Good thing he gets a bath almost every night. But at six months old how dirty can he really get.

My son is at an age now where he is really beginning to like to play, not only with me and my husband, but his grandparents and other family members, as well. He is ticklish and giggles when you tickle him. He is now learning to wave “hey” and “bye”. He says “hey”, but only when it’s just me and my husband around. Being able to see definite milestones being reached is a wonderful thing. It just means my baby won’t be a baby forever and that, in some ways, is sad. It just makes you realize how much you need to enjoy them while they are little because they don’t stay that way.
